A Return, An Old Friend, And A Couple Of Cases Of The 'Unfortunates'

Hi everybody! For those of you who read yesterdays entry, I apologize for some missing pictures! Blogger was having some maintenance issues last night and half of Tuesday. I finally got it worked out - added the additional pictures - and Monday's entry is full and ready to go!

NOW...Tuesday in Indy was another day off for us...and we all lay as low as possible. I got up this morning and went to pick up Chris and Eric at the airport. They flew in this morning from their trip to DC - and it was great to see them again! I drove out to the airport, and when I pulled up, I saw Eric and Chris standing there, and a little further down from them there was another man standing there, evidently waiting for someone to pick him up. As I drove up, I took a couple of pictures of Eric and Chris - to post here - and they were laughing and pointing. When I got to the curb, they jumped in...and suddenly the man who was standing there held on to the door, as if he was going to get in, and said, 'Matty?' We all kind of looked at him...and Eric finally spoke, saying, 'Sir this is a private car.' The guy just stood there for a second - looked stunned - and Eric again said, 'This is a private car!' The guy quickly realized we weren't who was supposed to come pick him up, and backed away. But we all had a good laugh on the way out, thinking about the odds of the person coming to pick them up being named MATTY. So there you go - things in Indy are ZANY!

L: Me approaching the curb, with Chris and Eric standing on the Left...and THE VAN MAN on the right. R: Chris and Eric, seemingly happy to see me.

The rest of the day we spent doing whatever we wanted. I rested a bit - and then some of us went to the movies. But before the movies, I stopped in Wal-Mart to see if a DVD set that I was eagerly anticipating the release of was there! (It was scheduled for November 1 on Amazon.com) After searching around, I finally found it locked in the NEW RELEASES cabinet. And then, with the turn of the key from my sales associate friend, Linda, I was holding the COMPLETE FIRST SEASON of FAME! The 1980's television show! And after a brief exchange of money, the set was MINE! I lived for FAME when I was a little kid - and dreamed of going to the Performing Arts High School in this show! (And let's not forget about me telling Debbie Allen, in an elevator at the Kennedy Center, that I loved her in FAME. Am I for real?)
So friends, I am sitting here blogging, watching the first disc of the first season. It's good to have my old friend back. Coco and Bruno and the gang have never looked better!

AND FINALLY - AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT - 2 ENTRIES TO THE CASE OF THE 'UNFORTUNATES'! (The stories follow each picture......)

This photo was taken outside the downtown mall in Indy. I hope you can enlarge the picture to REALLY see how unfortunate this is. The other UNFORTUNATE is that as soon as I snapped this, and put my camera away (thinking she was going back in the mall), she walked back around the car and was in FULL picture view! Sad. But don't be deceived...those are short shorts and GOLD heels you're seeing!

There isn't TOO much of a story here...this is the security lady in the Arrivals area at the Indy Airport. Enlarge the picture to get a look at the UNFORTUNATE bangs she is sporting. DE-lightful.

That does it from Indianapolis, friends! In the words of the infamous Debbie Allen, 'Fame costs...and right here is where you start paying...in SWEAT!' So baby....remember my name! Catch you all later.....

****BREAKING NEWS****

FOR THOSE WHO KNOW NICK AND JULIE HULLINGER! I almost forgot. I talked to Nick yesterday, and he told me that he and Julie just found out that they are pregnant - about 2 months along - and that they are expecting TWINS! Julie is due in June - and the doctor said everything is going well. (I got Nick's approval to post this news here on the BREAKING NEWS portion of my blog.) They are excited...and doing well. Let's all hope they are 2 little girls - I'm not sure Julie could deal with 2 little NICK'S running around! That's the news...enjoy!
